We operate a nonprofit medical cannabis delivery service in compliance with California Assembly Bill 243, California Assembly Bill 266, and California Senate Bill 643.
In 1996, the California voters approved Proposition 215, also known as the Compassionate Use Act of 1996, codified as California Health and Safety Code Section 11362.5.
In 2003, the California State Legislature approved Senate Bill 420, also known as the Medical Marijuana Program Act, codified as California Health and Safety Code Section 11362.7 et seq.
In 2008, the California Attorney General issued "Guidelines for the Security and Non-Diversion of Marijuana Grown for Medical Use."
In 2015, the California State Legislature approved Assembly Bill 243, Assembly Bill 266, and Senate Bill 643.
In 2016, the California voters approved Proposition 64, also known as the Control, Regulate and Tax Adult Use of Marijuana Act.
We are a membership organization. We deliver organic cannabis, concentrates and edibles for medical use for patients who are suffering from serious medical conditions. There are no membership fees.
Members are legally qualified patients or disignated primary caregivers. Qualified patients are required to have a recommendaiton or approval from a physician to use cannabis for the treatment of serious medical conditions.
Designated primary caregivers are required to complete Canna Express Designation of Primary Caregiver form. Members authorize us to contact the physician to verify the recommendation or approval from the physician to use cannabis for the treatment of a serious medical condition.
Membership expires when the physician recommendation to use cannabis expires. The physician recommendation expires 12 months after it is issued. Membership is renewed when the physician recommendation to use cannabis is renewed.
Members are at least eighteen (18) years old. Parents or court appointed legal guardians are required to act as designated primary caregivers to obtain services on behalf of qualified patients who are less than eighteen (18) years old.
Members are required to have a photo identification and a physician recommendation for cannabis every time they acquire cannabis from us. Identification documents include: Driver License or Temporary Driver License, Identification Card or Temporary Identification Card, Military Identification Card, Veteran Identification Card, Passport, Birth Certificate, Permanent Resident Card, Temporary Resident Card, Employment Authorization Card or other valid identification document.
Alternatively, members can have a Medical Marijuana Identification Card issued by the California Department of Health Services. The Medical Marijuana Identification Card expires 12 months after it is issued.
Members are required to read, understand and sign: Canna Express Membership Registration form, Canna Express Designation of Primary Caregiver form (if applicable) and Canna Express Membership Agreement and Facility Guidelines.
Physician Recommendation for Cannabis
Members are legally qualified patients or designated primary caregivers. Qualified patients have a recommendation or approval from a physician to use, possess and cultivate cannabis for the treatment of serious medical conditions. The physician recommendation expires 12 months after it is issued. Designated primary caregivers are required to complete Canna Express Designation of Primary Caregiver form.
Physicians require appointments. Patients should bring a photo identification for verification of birth date. A list of physicians that provide recommendations for cannabis can be located online and in the classified sections of New Times and Sun newspapers.
We are committed to protecting the privacy of members confidential medical information. Our membership records contain confidential medical information and are kept in a secure database and not in an online database. We do not process membership registration online. Members are issued a member identification number to protect membership records. Membership records are confidential and will not be disclosed without a member’s written consent. Membership records will not be provided to any other person, agency or organization without a member's written consent.
The personal information on the Canna Express Membership Registration form is optional. The personal information is used by us to notify members of new products, promotions, classes, seminars, counseling, support groups, holistic services, events, news and to facilitate delivery orders. Members may cancel these notices at any time by contacting us by phone or email.
